Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What happened to John Dessauer’s Investor’s World?

A:  The economics of the newsletter publishing world have changed substantially in recent years thanks in large part to the internet.  Like so many others, my publisher was forced to make some very difficult business decisions because of that reality.  Though I would have liked to continue a relationship with them, I enjoyed a nice partnership with my former publisher for the years we worked together.   The good news is that you can receive the same, high quality research and commentary through my new investment newsletter, John Dessauer’s Outlook.

Q: Is your newsletter the same as Investor’s World?

A:  John Dessauer's Outlook looks different but follows the same path as Investor’s World. I wrote every issue of Investor’s World and write every issue of Outlook as well.

Q: How do I receive your newsletter?

A:  Just sign up for a free trial and you’ll begin receiving John Dessauer’s Outlook by email each month.  You’ll also receive my weekly update global market news and investment research.

Q: I heard a rumor that you are going to retire soon, is that true?

A:  I am happy to say that I love what I do and am not ready for retirement. I am in good health and will keep managing client accounts at John Dessauer Investments as well as continuing to write for many more years.

Q: Is Gary Alexander going to be working with you?

A:  Gary has been a fantastic writing partner and I am hopeful that we will continue to work on projects together in the near future.

Q: Can I get my money back for my subscription to Investor’s World?

A: For refunds you have to contact the publisher at 800-804-0943.

Q: If you managed my account, wouldn't it be just the same as following the recommendations in your newsletter?

A:  The short answer is no, having a managed account is not the same.  The newsletter is intended for people who enjoy making their own day-to-day investment decisions. I am sure that no two subscriber portfolios look exactly alike. In addition there are stocks in the accounts I manage that never make it into the newsletter.
